APRSISCE/32 and AGWPE

Configuring APRSISCE/32 to use AGWPE is not difficult, as Steve Daniels G6UIM helped explain.

In APRSISCE/32:

1. On the top menu, select Configure> Ports> New port.

2. In the "New RFPort" popup window, for type use the drop down menu to select AGW , and give the port a name of your choice, for example, "AGWPE VHF". Click create.

3. A "TCP/IP or Comm?" pop up window will appear. Click on "yes" to configure this port as a TCP/IP port.

4. In the next TCP Configuration pop up window, in the IP or DNS field, type in "localhost or 127.0.0.1" (assuming AGWPE is running on the same computer). For Port, enter 8000 (assuming you haven't changed the default TCP/IP port in AGWPE, which is 8000).

5. In the next "Port Configuration" popup you can enable or disable various options -- or just leave them set for their defaults. If you are running an Igate, make sure RF to IS, IS to RF,  Enabled, Xmt Enable, Beacon and Messages are all ticked.

6. Click accept and you are done.
